How hard is it to get a title for a junkyard scooter?
Zuma Scooter question by Boo Man: How hard is it to get a title for a junkyard scooter?
I bought a yamaha zuma scooter from a junkyard. Pretty much all it had left was the frame, engine, and wheels. Before I rebuild it, I was wondering if it would be possible to obtain a title for it even though I cannot find a vin # on it? What if the receipt from the junkyard says that I bought a scooter from them? I live in New York.

you can it’s on the neck or they removed the tag ( stolen stripped etc ) just go with a slavge title and ride it

Q&A: What oil should I use in my Yamaha Zuma?
Zuma Scooter question by cinemoron: What oil should I use in my Yamaha Zuma?
My oil level is low and I need to know what to put in my 2002 Yamaha Zuma scooter. Also, it gives off a kind of white smoke when I ride it. Any thoughts to what that could be causing that? Also, what are some basic maintenance things to do on a scooter? Because it’s been sitting for about 8 years and it can ride intermittently sometimes. Thanks!

ok well for a start it is running white smoke because 2 much oil is getting through so the bike is burning it up, next to the exhaust there is a needle attached to the carbaretta which you tweek to change petrol to oil ratio, wouldnt reccomend messing to much though if you dont know what your doing as if you get it wrong it could seize the engine or flood it, ask a pro to take a look or someone who knows what there doing. within regards to oil castrol power 1 scooter 2t, is very good thats if it is a 2 stroke though if 4 stroke get the 4t, k mate hope i could help you!
, i almost forgot basic maintenence would be cleaning out the carb and completely draining oil new spark plug and fuse wd40 accelerator cable, and buy a new sponge for air filter (or wash it in hot soapy water) make sure it is bone dry before you put it back in though! cheers
